Device made of non-impregnated mountain larch, palisades white-peeled, split to dry, screwed back together with a rubber lamella. All visible metal parts made of V2A, glass bead blasted. Coloured with solvent-free acrylic paint. Prefabricated foundation made of reinforced concrete C35/45.

The Whirligig is very attractive to small children, due to its friendly appearance and child-sized dimensions. Only a small amount of force is enough to start the Whirligig turning around, with or without a guest. If a passenger is on the foot support ring, they can influence the turning speed by shifting their centre of gravity. Children can hold on to the arms or collar very well and turn around together with the Whirligig. This carousel provides the opportunity of exploring the laws of centrifugal force in a playful manner.
