Archimedes Screw with crank open

Self-lubricating bearings, bracket, axle, crank, rotating ring and running cone made of stainless steel. The Archimedean spirals are designed as a modular system so that the appropriate bearing, drive and fastening variants can be combined for a wide range of applications.
Drive: crank (or handwheel ø 40/60 cm or rotating ring axially positionable as required or running cone top/bottom)
Axle: strong
Lower bearing: concrete basin (or screw-on flange and protective disc)
Upper mounting: Bracket on concrete basin (or high bracket with flange and outlet tray or bracket without concrete basin or frame)
Dimensions: (minor deviations possible)
Inclination: 45° (the spirals can be installed with a minimum inclination of 35° and a maximum of 55° (the optimum inclination with maximum conveying is 45°))
Edge height: 7 cm (flow rate 0.3 litres per revolution)
Length: 125 cm (other lengths possible)
Height of outlet bowl: approx. 62 cm from the base
Recommendation: To prevent vandalism when the water is switched off, the spiral should be dismantled in winter.

A floating water supply often is the central feature of water play. A great way of moving water from a lower to a higher level is the Archimedes Screw, the old principle of water screws. Its turning draws water from the lower basin as it travels upwards with the movement of the spiral and pours it into the upper basin. This physical process is precisely observed and used with great pleasure as a means of transporting water. The open spiral makes the procedure visible and it is even possible to use it for transporting solid materials e.g. gravel.
